Gottfried August Homilius (1714–1785)

The works of Gottfried August Homilius were beloved and widely disseminated during his lifetime. This pupil of Bach left behind an extensive opus which is still waiting to be discovered. Carus is publishing a selection of his works in Urtext, edited by Uwe Wolf. In conjunction with the respective new editions, CD recordings of his works are being released, some of which contain world premiere performances.
