  1. Do you know Collegium Aureum version of Suite in D?, You can listen here if you get Spotify: http://open.spotify.com/track/74JISh0DIMiyyPHqtAuGT9

    what you think?... it's baroque?

  2. I don't have spotify but I found it on the tube. Well, this is not baroque as we know today, but it was for sure when it was recorded, (40 years ago, maybe?)

  4. On amazon say:
    # Original Release Date: 5 Aug 1997
    # Label: deutsche harmonia mundi
    # Copyright: (P) 1962 & 1977 BMG Music

I really believed it was a 80's recording.

Anyway I just read (I'm not an expert, only a modest average enthusiastic) that ''from 1710s he became one of the creators and the foremost exponents of the so-called German mixed style, an amalgam of German, French, Italian and Polish styles; and over the years, his music gradually changed and started incorporating more and more elements of the galant style'.
It must be the reason of that, when I have listened Tafelmusik work, has seemed to me to be stylistically little baroque.

Really my 'obsession' to find 'authentic' Baroco style is caused by a very Baroco enthusiastic old friend.

By the way, do you know MUSICA PACIFICA group?....in my opinion is the group with more authentic baroco style I listened....while they can be called, I suppose, as little moving or boring.

    Cheers.
