OK, Richter's recording could wrinkle some noses but please consider that it happened in 1971 and anyway this is the first version I ever listened to so I'm pretty partial about it.
Gardiner's is for Giovanni & Gustavo (if my memory's good).
Egarr's is really good and I posted it before.
Pinnock's is a Classic (Capital "C")
Lamon's is a mouthful of fresh air.
Harnoncourt's is what you expect...
Goodman's is my favourite, listen to it and let me know... let's start.

You have all the versions except the best one! Minkowski's.
RispondiEliminaYou have all the versions except the best version - Minkowski's!
RispondiEliminaAll are great, but I prefer Pinnock. By the way, can you post the Schutz Christmas Oratorio someday?
RispondiEliminaYesterday I found two comments mentioning Minkowski's version of the Concerti Grossi and now those comments are gone. I want to apologise for this, still I don't know what happened. Anyway I added Minkowski to the post.
RispondiEliminaQuesto commento è stato eliminato dall'autore.
RispondiEliminaAmong Minkowsi, Pinnock and Goodman I prefer, as for style, Goodman because he is, I think, more stylistically baroque: violins has a less high tessitura (less romantic).
RispondiEliminaAs for musicality, besides of Minkowsi takes, I think, license in the tempo very personal, also I prefer Goodman because I flee of all the interpretations that suggest an apex of romanticism to me (on Baroque, indeed!).
Sorry, I don't know express better, my english is very poor.
Thanks a lot and cheers
